Purify The Air In Your Home With These Plants

(Purify The Air In Your Home With These Plants)

The plants we grow at home aren’t only responsible for more oxygen but they also clean the air from toxins and mold. A study conducted by NASA discovered that some plant types can filter the air we breathe and eliminate some organic compounds that evaporate better than the others. These plants filter the air from dust, paint and many building materials.

Here are few plants that you have to grow in your home:

 *Aloe*

It can raise the levels of oxygen and it absorbs formaldehyde, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. Only one plant can easily offer what nine biological air-purifiers can.

*Ficus Elastica*

This plant does not require a lot of light and it is effective in cleansing the air of formaldehyde. You should be careful with this plant, especially if you have children or pets, as its leaves can be poisonous.

*Ivy*

It can eliminate up to 60 percent of the toxins in the air and about 58percent of feces particles in six hours from the time it is brought in the room.

*Spider plant*

This plant (Chlorophytum Cosmosum) can make the photosynthesis even at minimal light. It absorbs toxins like formaldehyde, carbon monoxide and styrene and gasoline. One plant can purify air in 200m2 of space.

*Snake plant*

It is almost indestructible and very resistant. It needs a little light to make photosynthesis. It can remove toxins and it can produce oxygen at night so it is great to have it in the bedroom.

*Peace lilies*

It is great for removing toxins and chemicals from the air. It can also filter the trichloroethylene and formaldehyde from the air.

It is recommended by NASA to have about 15-19 plants like these in 500m2 space. Don’t forget to place one plant in the bedroom as you spent time there, as well.
