Do you have blocked nose and chest and cannot breathe? Do you have coughs and runny nose? Do not make things worse and remove excess phlegm and mucus.

Phlegm is the substance from mucus membranes and is for when the respiratory tract fights some infection during a cold mostly. This gathers in the throat and chest, congests them and removes them with coughing.

Excess phlegm is linked to cold, flu, sinusitis and viruses or bacteria. It makes allergy reactions to some irritants like hay fever, damaged vocal cords and asthma. It has along a runny nose, cough, weakness and hard time breathing.

This is not serious, but if not treated it might make clogged bronchial tubes and secondary respiratory infecting.

Phlegm dealing is annoying and almost never ending. Many natural herbs remove it and remove mucus of chest and throat too.

Ginger

Decongestant and antihistamine too, removes viruses, bacteria and is expectorant so it removes congestion In throat and chest so it dries out all mucus and have ginger tea few times daily. Or chew 3-4 ginger slices few times per day.

What you need:
  • Ginger 6-7 pieces
  • Black peppercorns 1 tsp
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Water 2 cups

Method:

Put 2 cups water in a pan and turn on heat. Add the ginger and peppercorns when the water simmers.

Cover with the lid and let this boil 1 min. lower the heat and simmer 5-7 minutes. See the color changing to yellow.

For potent flavor, simmer 15-20 minutes and use ginger slices.

Strain this in a cup and careful, the steam is really hot.

Lastly add the honey, mix and drink up. Have 2-3 of these infusions every day.

Turmeric

This item has curcuma which removes bacteria and heals. It reduces phlegm and kills bacteria for excess mucus.

You need:
  • Turmeric 1 tbsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp
  • Warm water 1 glass

Method:

Add the turmeric in glass warm water, and add pinch salt too. Mix and use this for gargling. Do this 3-4 times daily and loosen mucus well.

Salt water gargling

This is the best old fashioned way for phlegm removal. Warm water will soothe the throat, salt kills bacteria and both activate removal of mucus.

Add the salt in water, ½ tsp in glass water, mix and gargle 3-4 times daily.

Steaming

This is another good method for loosening mucus up. Steam breathing makes the vapor travel in the throat and loosen mucus for relief. Add herbs for aroma.

You need:
  • Hot water 4-5 cups
  • Rosemary ½ tsp
  • Thyme ½ tsp

Method:

Put 4-5 cups water in  a big bowl and it has to be hot and boiled. Add ½ tsp of rosemary and thyme each. Bend over and inhale with a towel over your head. Breathe in for 10 minutes. Do this 3-4 times daily and also have steamy hot showers 2 times daily.

Lemon and honey

Honey kills bacteria, viruses, fungi and soothes breathing organs. Lemon has vitamin C and boosts immunity as it removes congestion.

You need:
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Honey 1 tbsp
Method:

Put the honey in a bowl and add the lemon too. Mix and drink up 3 times daily.

Acv

Acv is a good natural cure for most issues and it makes alkalinity, balanced pH and less mucus.

Add some acv in glass of water, 1 tbsp per glass, mix and drink up 2-3 times daily. Also gargle with this too for soothing throat.

Blow the nose regularly

Have spicy foods like peppers, garlic…

Avoid exposure to paint fumes, chemicals, cleaners for household to avoid irritations

NEVER swallow the mucus or phlegm, instead gargle and spit it out

Avoid cold drinks and foods
